Role
The role of East River Pilates’ (ERP) Studio Manager is to;
provide assistance to studio directors,
oversee day to day operations across 3 studio locations,
manage sustainable work schedules,
and oversee people operations.
In line with ERP’s mission, ‘to empower, educate, and inspire all people through the life changing benefits of Pilates,’ this role is designed to maintain a safe work environment, enhance the sustainability and efficiency of business procedures, systems, and people operations processes, and strengthen ERP’s reputation, in Brooklyn, and beyond.
Reports to
Talia Williams, Director of Teacher Training (DTT) and Operations, and Kimmy Kellum, Founder & Director
Direct Reports
Instructors, Studio Caretakers, Client Relations Manager
Commitment
This is a full-time salaried position. Due to the nature of the business, work hours are very flexible, however we are looking for someone who is able to be the first point of call for emergency situations that come up at unexpected times e.g. a sudden flooded basement.
Work Location
This position is based out of 3 studio locations and will require a split of onsite and remote working hours. The exact schedule will be agreed upon during the onboarding process, and reviewed as required.

Based on experience.
Responsibilities
Provide assistance to Director & Director of Operations
Oversee daily studio operations
Manage Mindbody software
Anticipate, identify, and proactively problem solve emergency situations
Manage staff training procedures
Oversee studio projects
Manage a safe, compliant & operational workplace
Manage studio inventory and vendor relationships
Manage studio systems, policies & procedures
Manage internal company communications & documents
Manage sustainable work schedules
Manage people operations processes
Design & manage a positive workplace culture

Work experience in the fitness or wellness industry a plus

Proactive and reactive problem-solving capabilities
Proficiency in Mindbody software and G-Suite
