**Mission:** Brian's goal in each class is to provide a challenging, yet rewarding class that elevates mind-body awareness and improves overall function, strength, and range of motion. He firmly believes that we achieve our goals by taking the work seriously, but not ourselves, and that results come from a good balance of focus and fun.
**Fun Fact:** Brian is from Cincinnati, Ohio, so naturally he loves camping, Skyline chili, and played the fiddle in a bluegrass duet from the ages of 10-13.

**Mission:** Nicole is a highly motivated, energetic, friendly and knowledgeable Pilates Instructor with an extensive background in Dance, Pilates and Yoga. She is experienced in designing exercise programs based on clients’ needs, goals, abilities and anatomy. Nicole has a strong understanding of the functions and vital processes of the human body and is always encouraging clients to reach their maximum performance utilizing solid communication and demonstration.
**Fun Fact:** Nicole was born in England and grew up in both Switzerland and Hong Kong. She was first introduced to Pilates by her mother who is now celebrating her studio's 13th year anniversary. When Nicole isn't teaching you can find her either dancing for Company XIV or creating her own choreography under the name NVA & Guests.

Mission: Lauren strives to assist her students in their pursuit of strength, stability, mobility, and ease of movement. In every class they take, her goal is that they feel more grounded in the sensations of their body and hopes that discovery is sustained in life outside of the studio. She believes that movement is a healing practice in body and spirit, and she finds joy in playing a small part of her students' journeys.

Fun Fact: Nothing makes me giggle more than tiny things. Tiny animals, tiny kitchenware--the tinier the better! Also, for those that are familiar, the movie Ladybird was based off of my high school!

She helps others do the same. Kate's goal is to make people feel their best in their bodies and mind. Her positive personality makes her classes creative and fun, improving strength, range of motion and body awareness at the same time.

**Mission:** One of my favorite things about Pilates is that it's for everybody! It can enhance anyone and everyone's lives. With that in mind, I aim to help new practitioners to fall in love with Pilates, and to bring something new and challenging to the longtime Pilates enthusiast. When creating classes, I focus on flow, anatomy, clarity of cueing and that feel good muscle burn. I move the body in all directions, and push you to challenge your stamina and finally, give you that lovely stretch at the end of your hard work! With privates, my goal is to help the client with their individual needs and goals all while keeping it interesting and engaging.

**Mission**: Graziella believes that connecting with people through a mutual love of movement continues to be the greatest gift inside of teaching. She loves incorporating the fluidity of breath inside of movement. Breath can be the key to finding more strength as well as release inside of this work. She also enjoys working to find a pain free path of movement for individuals as well as pushing them beyond their limits to access new places inside of themselves.

Education: 500hr comprehensive Pilates certification through Balanced Pilates NYC - includes contemporary, classical, mat, and all equipment. Graduated summa cum laude with BFA in dance from Ohio University with strong focus on kinesiology and anatomy.

Mission: As a past professional dancer, movement has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I strongly believe in its ability to heal, empower, and invigorate the body and mind. As an educator, I love investigating the many different ways to communicate my knowledge to help each individual. I enjoy exploring the contemplative and athletic components of Pilates with a strong emphasis on functional fitness. I often draw inspiration from my movement background and strive to deliver a full-bodied elastic feel to all my classes. My ongoing goal as an instructor is to create an open and supportive atmosphere to help people cultivate a deeper connection to their body through movement and leave class feeling empowered!

Fun Fact: I’m an avid line dancer and I’ve lived in the same apartment in NYC for over 11 years!

**Mission:** Josephine loves movement and helping people find themselves in their bodies through their physical expression. She focuses on anatomically sound movement and flow, proper breathing and fluidity. In her classes she aims to motivate everybody, from beginners to advanced, to challenge their limits and grow in a fun and safe environment.
**Fun Fact:** I am an actress and filmmaker and co-founder of L Train Down, a production collective. I am also a foodie nerd; I am constantly dreaming of/ cooking up/ eating something delicious!

**Mission:** Julia’s mission as a Pilates instructor is to help people connect with their bodies in a positive and safe way. She uses her years of dance training and her running practice to inform her teaching style, which emphasizes balance, coordination and flow. She hopes clients leave her class feeling rejuvenated, strong and ready for the next challenge.
**Fun Fact:** My favorite thing to do in my free time is read!

**Mission:** I strongly believe in the healing power of movement, for both the mind and the body. My goal is to always encourage you to focus on honoring and respecting where your body is at that day, while also challenging yourself to approach movement with curiosity! I want you to leave my class feeling capable, grounded, and energized!
**Fun Fact:** I have never met an animal or a bug that I haven't loved :)

**Mission:** Sydney's mission is to assist clients in taking time out of their day to focus on themselves and their bodies. An hour of Pilates is an hour of self care, and Sydney wants to help clients get stronger while benefiting both mental and physical health.
**Fun Fact:** Sydney loves to spend time in the outdoors! Whether hiking, skiing, or camping she finds the most peace and joy in nature.

**Specialities:** All Levels. Introducing new clients to the foundations of movement in Pilates. Beginning each class with a grounding moment centering on breath work and bodily awareness, encouraging clients to move in the way that is truest to their bodies. Layering on creative progressions and flows throughout classes, always reminding clients they have the agency to push themselves and experiment with the progressions offered or peel it back and choose their own challenge.
**Education:** SPRING. Movement Mat & Reformer/Jumpboard
**Mission:** To get people out of their heads and into their bodies. Fostering a strong mind/body connection and creating community through challenging and feel-good movement. When clients leave my class, my goal is for them to feel accomplished and ready to receive whatever the rest of their day may bring them.
**Fun Fact:** Outside of the Pilates studio, I spend my time working in film and photography. For my MA thesis project, I directed a short documentary on the Caribbean Social Club and Toñita, a matriarch of the Puerto Rican community in Los Sures. Music videos are my favorite form of storytelling; any time I listen to a song I’m obsessed with, I create an entire realm in my head to go with it, and it’s the most amazing feeling ever to bring that world to life with a team that trusts you. I’m originally from Puerto Rico and if I’m not in NYC, I’m back home filming shows and directing music videos for artists from the independent music scene. Please ask me for music recs :)

Education: 450 hour SPRING Movement Comprehensive Pilates Instructor, also professionally trained cook/baker, with a bachelors in business admin.

Mission: Paige strives to help her students develop a deeper mind and body connection through their Pilates practice, while creating a safe space to for all to feel empowered to move in a way that feels best for them.

Fun Fact: Although she no longer cooks or bakes professionally, Paige still regularly bakes at home and is the resident carb queen in her household. When she's not making bread at home or teaching Pilates, she also teaches pole dancing and trains in contortion. Since moving back to the Midwest she inherited her grandpa's competition sized BBQ smoker, so she'll be dabbling with that next!
