Mission: Brian's goal in each class is to provide a challenging, yet rewarding class that elevates mind-body awareness and improves overall function, strength, and range of motion. He firmly believes that we achieve our goals by taking the work seriously, but not ourselves, and that results come from a good balance of focus and fun.
Fun Fact: Brian is from Cincinnati, Ohio, so naturally he loves camping, Skyline chili, and played the fiddle in a bluegrass duet from the ages of 10-13.

Mission: Josephine loves movement and helping people find themselves in their bodies through their physical expression. She focuses on anatomically sound movement and flow, proper breathing and fluidity. In her classes she aims to motivate everybody, from beginners to advanced, to challenge their limits and grow in a fun and safe environment.
Fun Fact: I am an actress and filmmaker and co-founder of L Train Down, a production collective. I am also a foodie nerd; I am constantly dreaming of/ cooking up/ eating something delicious!

Mission: Nicole is a highly motivated, energetic, friendly and knowledgeable Pilates Instructor with an extensive background in Dance, Pilates and Yoga. She is experienced in designing exercise programs based on clients’ needs, goals, abilities and anatomy. Nicole has a strong understanding of the functions and vital processes of the human body and is always encouraging clients to reach their maximum performance utilizing solid communication and demonstration.
Fun Fact: Nicole was born in England and grew up in both Switzerland and Hong Kong. She was first introduced to Pilates by her mother who is now celebrating her studio's 13th year anniversary. When Nicole isn't teaching you can find her either dancing for Company XIV or creating her own choreography under the name NVA & Guests.

Mission: The top mantra I follow is “The work is never over.” My goal is to create a learning environment that connects you deeper to your movement practice, allowing you to find deeper length, strength, and overall mind-body connection. My goal is that after every session, you leave feeling better and more empowered in your body!
Fun Fact: My creative & quarantine hobbies include dancing, painting, sewing clothing, listening to true crime podcasts, and working with healing & meditation crystals!

Mission: Kate was born and raised in Moscow, Russia, lived in Australia and finally settled in New York City. Kate has two children who keep her young and motivate her to move and stay active. She helps others do the same. Kate's goal is to make people feel their best in their bodies and mind. Her positive personality makes her classes creative and fun, improving strength, range of motion and body awareness at the same time.

Mission: One of my favorite things about Pilates is that it's for everybody! It can enhance anyone and everyone's lives. With that in mind, I aim to help new practitioners to fall in love with Pilates, and to bring something new and challenging to the longtime Pilates enthusiast. When creating classes, I focus on flow, anatomy, clarity of cueing and that feel good muscle burn. I move the body in all directions, and push you to challenge your stamina and finally, give you that lovely stretch at the end of your hard work! With privates, my goal is to help the client with their individual needs and goals all while keeping it interesting and engaging.

Fun Fact: When I’m not teaching Pilates you can find me choreographing, rehearsing and performing with my dance project GREYZONE.

Mission: Graziella believes that connecting with people through a mutual love of movement continues to be the greatest gift inside of teaching. She  loves incorporating the fluidity of breath inside of movement. Breath can be the key to finding more strength as well as release inside of this work. She also enjoys working to find a pain free path of movement for individuals as well as pushing them beyond their limits to access new places inside of themselves. 

Fun Fact: The fact that I have a math degree is always a surprise to people who know me as a dancer and Pilates instructor but once upon a time, I loved math.

Mission: Lydia's mission as an instructor is to help clients feel positively connected to their bodies. She utilizes her various movement backgrounds to inform her teaching methodology while working with her clients. She structures her class with a strong emphasis on alignment and anatomy while offering many modifications so that each client can feel motivated, strong, inspired, and challenged.

Mission: Sarah's mission is to support, honor, and uplift clients on their individual movement journeys. Sarah shapes movement sessions and exercise programs to best benefit and challenge the client's personal goals, anatomy, and overall physical and mental needs as it pertains to their interests whether that be strengthening, stretching, healing, meditative, injury prevention, injury recovery, and/or active aging. Sarah encourages an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment. In addition to her knowledge as a Pilates instructor, Sarah also has extensive background as a professional dancer.
Fun Fact: I am left handed, can quote all of my favorite movies, and I have a unique love for making hand drawn greeting cards.

Education: Florida State University School of Dance BFA in 2020 (focus/mentorship in Movement Mechanics); Balanced Body Reformer Certified and Apparatus Training (2020); Pyropilates certified (2020).

Mission: I use my background in choreography and anatomy to create classes with very targeted exercises but seamless transitions between them. I emphasize the mind body connection so this flow feels so meditative, you don't even realize how much your being challenged!

She believes that movement is a healing practice in body and spirit, and she finds joy in playing a small part of her students' journeys.

Mission: Stephanie is an enthusiastic and motivating instructor who uses her magnetic personality and strong leadership skills to connect with a diverse client base of all levels, challenging them to reach their highest potential. Through hands-on adjustment and constant awareness, she makes sure her clients leave feeling like they learned how to properly flow through moves, while also having fun. Whether it be on the reformer, cadillac, or mat, she wants her classes to be filled with creative and feel good moves that help to lengthen and strengthen every part of the body.

Fun Fact: I know how to talk backwards (very useless but fun talent I discovered at the dinner table when I was in 2nd grade)

Mission: My motto is "your body is meant to move" and therefore thrives on movement! The human body is quite literally designed for movement and my hope is that you come away from my classes with an appreciation of how strong, capable, and intelligent your body is, regardless of level or ability.

Mission: Shane learned in acting school that the way we move tells a story. His intention as a Pilates teacher is to listen, and inspire his clients to meet challenges with a smile. With an ethos of body positivity and compassion for all, he hopes to empower his students with anatomical cueing and create a safer space to explore what their bodies are capable of.

Fun Fact: Voted most DRAMATIC his senior year of high school. Which he lamented was "ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! OMG!!!!!!"

Fun Fact: I worked as a line cook in a Mexican restaurant while I was in college. During the pandemic, I bought myself a double-barrel charcoal smoker and learned to smoke meats in my Greenpoint backyard.

Mission: Sydney's mission is to assist clients in taking time out of their day to focus on themselves and their bodies. An hour of Pilates is an hour of self care, and Sydney wants to help clients get stronger while benefiting both mental and physical health.
Fun Fact: Sydney loves to spend time in the outdoors! Whether hiking, skiing, or camping she finds the most peace and joy in nature.

Specialities: Dynamic reformer classes that give a full body workout, work up a sweat and build strength throughout the session. My personal favourites are Glutes and Core!

Education: Bachelor of Fine Arts (Music Theatre), Certificate IV in Performing Arts (Dance), APPI Pilates Instructor Certification, KX Pilates Certification, Kaya Barre Certification

Mission: I love educating clients about their bodies, trouble shooting pain and issues they may have to help them to get stronger and feel good moving. I like to help everyone reach their personal goals and feel the difference Pilates can make!

Fun Fact: I am Australian but I don't like Vegemite! Nutella on the other hand (yum!)
