Book a Practice Teaching Session
-
Not all studios have access to every piece of equipment
e.g. some Practice Teaching sessions will only have access to the Cadillac, Chair, and Barrel, with no access to a Reformer, therefore, please double check each specific booking as this information is listed in each available booking. When you go to book into your session, you will be prompted to reserve a spot. Some sessions will have multiple spots available: some Reformers, and then some Cadillac/Tower/Chair/Barrels.
Some Practice Teaching sessions will only have a single spot available, which generally indicates there is a group Reformer class happening at the same time. Those sessions utilize the private area, which does not include a Reformer.
Please book yourself into these sessions using your Practice Teaching Credits, the same way you would book yourself into a class. You do not book your client in for these sessions.
Your clients will need to have an account created with the host studio so that they can sign the studio waiver, but they will not be responsible for paying for these sessions.
Sign ups for these sessions close 12 hours before the session starts, so plan ahead.
Practice Teaching sessions are not hosted by an Educator. These are the days and times where the studio is made available to reserve a piece of equipment during the designated time.
You must not charge your clients for these sessions.
You will be the person who books into these sessions using your credits, not your clients.
The sessions are strictly 50 minutes, start to finish. That does not mean 50 minutes of teaching, because you need to factor in your welcome, enough time to clean and reset the equipment, and answer any questions before your client leaves. If you start late, you are still expected to be finished by the advertised end of the session. EG. The session is 11:00am - 11:50am. You need to have completed your session, have the equipment reset to the home setting and completely sanitized by 11:50am.
You are expected to be respectful of the studio, staff and clients at all times. There will likely be classes running in the studio directly before or after these session times, or Mat classes happening at the same time, so it is very important that you keep to schedule.

Important Information to Share With Your Clients
For Health and Safety reasons, any client who enters an East River Pilates studio is required to have an account with ERP so they can sign a waiver before using the equipment.
This is great real-world experience for you to manage the client relations of your bookings. Please share this link with your clients ahead of time, and ensure they follow the prompts to create an account and sign the waiver. They will not be charged anything. This needs to be done at least 24 hours prior to your session, but the earlier the better.
Clients need to have an account with the waiver signed!! It is not up to the host Instructor to assist you with this, they are simply responsible for checking you in upon arrival. It is your responsibility to have the waiver signed, otherwise they will not be permitted to enter the studio.
We recommend that you create an email template that you send to all of your practice teaching clients ahead of time that confirms the date, time, location, any specific requirements, and most importantly, contains the below URL for them to create their account and sign the waiver: https://momence.com/sign-up/member?hostId=9204&wa=true
-
The same cancellation policy applies to these bookings as all other class bookings at ERP.
If you early cancel, you will receive your credit back onto your account.
If you late cancel, you will forfeit your credit.
If your client cancels within the 12 hours, we recommend trying to fill the spot with somebody else, or coming and using that time as self-practice so you are not losing your credit.
